Sketches of a Bipolar Girl: If You Could Read My Mind

If you could read my mind, what would you find? Right now, you'd find a girl who is feeling pretty good. You'd find a piece of my mind swirling with anxiety. You'd find a girl who is getting ready to get back to reality. I've been out of work on disability since August. It's almost time for me to go back to work. I'm not looking forward to it.

Although I don't like the job, I do like the money. I was supposed to get a raise after completing level 2 training. I didn't get it as of the time I left. I will be checking on it when I get back. If I don't have my promotion and raise, I will be going back to level 1 work. I'm not doing a job I'm not getting paid for. Period.

I'm still actively looking for a new job. One job I applied for 2 weeks ago didn't pan out. I know that I was qualified. I would have been good at it. But it's their loss. My resume is pretty good. The only thing is I have a gap in my work history from when I was on disability for several years. It was so long ago, I don't feel I should have to explain myself. I think all that matters is what I'm doing now and what my past experience is. Maybe I'll extend my resume to include all my experience.

I applied for another job last night with a medical provider as a front office specialist, aka receptionist. I can do the job. I want to get out of the house, so I am kind of looking for something in office. Working at home is fine, but I am a little tired of it. My hours at work will still be 8:15 to 7:15 which is kind of inconvenient since April gets off at 5 pm, and Erica will be home around 4:30.

Erica got a job, by the way. It's with a company that makes wooden puzzles. She is a packer. She's not making much money, but it's an easy job, and she gets to listen to her music or books and doesn't have to talk to anyone. But at least she'll have some money.

Financially, we are still in dire straits. But, it will work out once I get back to work. I have to pay my phone, and the car payment. I have credit card payments due also, but I'm just like, yeah bite me. I don't care about my credit score anymore. I used to check it everyday, but I deleted the app for that. Credit scores are a crap load of information. The nation has poor credit, so why is it a big deal for me?

I have a session with Stephanie today. I really don't have anything to say. I have laundry to do, and I guess I should mop the floor in the kitchen. I can always clean the bathroom. I'm not sure if I'll do any of it today. I'm feeling kind of sleepy. I didn't sleep too well last night. I was in a lot of pain. I think I retore my left shoulder. Both of my shoulders hurt now. My knees are also talking to me. I have to tape them up when I go to bed. Getting old is bullshit. I hate the fact that my body is turning on me. My hair is thinning too. However, I did lose weight. I now weigh 200 lbs. I lose 28 lbs. in the last 6 weeks. I'm not doing anything to initiate it. I just don't have much of an appetite most of the time. Oh well, I'm not complaining.

I want to move to a new apartment. I'd love to get a 3 bedroom place here in the complex. They know me and I think they like me. We've lived here over 3 years now, and we were only supposed to be here for one. But that was before the money problems began. I'm going to start saving. I mean it, really saving some money. We have to get out of here. I think I'll take a nap later.

Peace - B
